Making iced coffee at home is one of summer’s simple pleasures - a chance to slow down and enjoy a refreshing sip in the sunshine. Follow our brew guide to get your iced coffee just right. These steps are for a cafetière, but you can use any brewing method you like – just aim for a small and strong amount of coffee similar to the amount in the guide.
What you'll need:
• Cafetière (or your choice of brewer)
• Freshly brewed coffee
• Ice cubes
• Scales and timer
• Glass
• Milk (optional)
• Sugar or sweetener (optional)
Step 1: Choose your Coffee
We love our easy-drinking Yellow Lab over ice – light in body with bright notes of peach and lemonade. Its citrusy-sweetness is just pawfect in the sunshine.
But if you prefer something a little richer, our darker roasted Choc Lab is a velvety blend of milk chocolate, walnut and silky-sweet caramel.

Step 2: Prepare
Fill your glass with 100ml of milk (if using). If you’re adding sugar, sweetener or syrup, now is the perfect time. Add ice, leaving the glass at least 1/3 empty, then stir to help chill the glass.
Step 3: Brew your Coffee
Make your shot of coffee using the cafetière. Add 20g to your brewer, give it a little shake to flatten the grounds then add 100g of hot (but not boiling) water, and stir.
Add the lid and leave to brew for 3 minutes. Once ready, plunge to the surface of the coffee grounds.

Step 4: Mix & Sip
Pour the shot into your chilled glass, give it a stir, find a sunny spot and enjoy!
